Antique Czechoslovakian glass, circa 1920-1930. These frosted jonquil glass prisms were made in the town of Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, by skilled artisans. The Second World War destroyed their industry and the emigration of the glass workers after the war scattered their skills.
The ancient tradition destroyed, these glass prisms are the final existing relics of an historic cottage industry. Limited number available, not to be reproduced.
Earrings measure 2 1/4 inches long, trim is antique silver plated brass, sterling silver ear wires. All hand work done in USA.
